Engineering is the application of scientific, economic, social and practical knowledge in order to design, build and maintain structures, machines, devices, systems, materials and processes.

Carrier in Engineering

Engineering is bound up with society and human behavior. Every product or construction used by modern society will have influenced by engineering design. Engineering design is a very powerful tool to make changes to environment, society and economies and its application brings with is a great responsibility.

Job Opportunities for Mechanical Trade

Mechanical Engineering finds application in all fields of technology. It is one of the primitive branches of Engineering which have remained always in demand and continue to be in the future. This is why Mechanical Trade is called as an Evergreen trade (branch). Mechanical Technician has always been needed as an essential technical staff in various industries of both public & private sector. It has a scope in automobile engineering, power sector, hydraulics, manufacturing plants and many more. With its wide scope of application, mechanical technician remain always in demand, no matter which part of the world.

Workshop

The Institute has a well-equipped workshop where trainees learn about basic manufacturing methods. Every trainee prepares jobs in all the shop with his/her own hands under the guidance of experienced trainers & engineers. The workshop has the following sections:

  • Machine Shop
  • Fitting Shop
  • Sheet Metal Shop
  • Welding Shop

The machine shop has the following machines:

  • Lathe Machines
  • Milling Machines
  • Shaper Machines
  • Drilling Machines
  • Grinding Machines
  • Surface Grinding Machine
  • Power Hacksaw Machines
  • Bending Machines
  • Rolling Machine
  • Tensile Test Machine
  • Hydraulic Machine
  • Graphics Lab
  • Auto CAD Lab
  • Science Lab
  • Peltric set Lab

Labs

The Mechanical department has following labs:

The Engineering Graphics Laboratory allows for the development of skills in the use of drafting tools such as the mini drafter. Through individual study, problem-solving activities, class lecture & other activities, students develop an understanding of drafting & design concepts. Laboratory exercises require the application of principles, concepts & standards relating to technical sketching, multi-view drawing, dimensioning, tolerance, threads & fasteners, geometry & developments.

Discipline

The Institute firmly believes that success hingeson self-discipline, for ability and knowledge without discipline are stagnant & fruitless. Discipline transforms inherent ability & learned knowledge into achievements. Without discipline, you will never become autonomous and will never attain personal success. Discipline is essential.
